“Reasons Bigger Than Your Problems”

October 17, 2012

Entrepreneur Mindset

We all have problems and we all have reasons behind why we want to accomplish something. That’s fact. The key to having success in anything that we do, is to have a reason that is stronger than our problem.

Michael wants to quit smoking because it’s bad for his health, and his daughter wants him to.

Problem: He is addicted to smoking.

Reason: Leads to very poor health and daughter wants him to stop.

Logic: Which is a stronger force? The physical/mental addiction to the cigarette/nicotine, or the urge to live a healthier life and to make his daughter happy? The force that has the larger ‘urge’ will win. Always.

If we want something in our life, we must break it down to a ‘this or that’, ‘yes or no’, ‘this or that’ approach. That is a task we can all handle.

Develop a reason and make it stronger than the problem, and your life will start to change as you go through this decision-making process.

“Develop a reason and make it stronger than the problem, and your life will start to change as you go through this decision-making process”. I am already in the process and recognize what you mean by the sentence. Thanks for sharing it. Knowing it and teaching it are two different things. I need to implement this to teach others.
