Perfect Prospects

Searching For The Perfect Prospect

Ever want to get better at MLM prospecting? Of course you do! Different approaches for different industries, but in general – all prospects have the same qualities that separate the good prospects from the bad prospects. For the sake of this article – lets talk about MLM prospects. Lets dig in!

FYI, if you are on a hunt for a quick sales-prospecting-answer, My Lead System Pro is what you need to be looking in to. They are the only lead-generation education source I recommend. You will learn how to generate the perfect prospects and be taught to understand MLM prospecting.

Why Are Prospects So Important?

Prospects are are simply people that you suspect have an interest in what you have to offer. They are classified as a ‘step’ before becoming a lead (Prospects –> Leads –> Sales). Prospects are people that you want to target. People that you know would most likely have interest in what you have to offer. Maybe this is a product or service, maybe this is your primary opportunity, or may this is simply information. Regardless – MLM prospecting is the art of finding individuals or groups of people that will potentially have an interest in what you are offering.  The key is to make your offer land in front of their front of their face.

Bad Prospects

These are people that you will waste your time with. These are people that will most likely have no interest in anything that you are offering. For example; would you ever go in to an old-folks home and try to sell them a brand new pair of running shoes, boxing gloves, or the newest and hottest computer? No. Why? Because they literally have no interest in any of those things. Sure, you will have one person out of every 500 that may show interest -  but as a general rule of thumb, they will have no interest. You must find people who have a great likelihood of having an interested in your offerings. This is called target-marketing or MLM prospecting.

Perfect Sales Prospects

Finding a great prospect is pretty simple. But, you must first know who your ‘target market’ is. Who is it that you really want on your MLM team? Do you want tire kickers? Or do you want go-getters. Do you want followers? Or do you want leaders? That’s your decision. I prefer leaders. I want go-getters on my team – those who have big goals and dreams and they will stop at nothing to achieve them. These type of people will explode your team and create wealth on the fast-track.

MLM Prospecting – Attract More Good Prospects

The key to success in your MLM business is to come in contact with a lot of prospects and generate a lot of leads. Plain and simple. Some will join. Some will not. Sometimes this may seem like a numbers-game. Remember, though, there are bad prospects and there are perfect prospects. You want to come in contact with the perfect prospects.

Target-marketing and MLM prospecting is essential. Run your information past individuals that potentially want what you are offering. For example, in my business – my perfect prospects are struggling network marketers. People who are currently in network marketing and they are looking for help. So, I offer just that – help! People naturally come running. You can do the exact same thing. When you become a person of value – things change. People are more open to listening to you and more willing to partnering with you. Which is exactly what you want, in the end.

Put your information, your help, or your content in front of the right people, and in front of a lot of the right people!

Where Are These Perfect Prospects?

EVERYWHERE! Seriously. There is no single answer. When you take your business online, it’s important to have content that is readily available. Such as high-rankings through search engines and large social media sites, such as Youtube. My favorite sources are Youtube and Blogging. That’s all I spend my time doing – literally. And it works. Sure, you have sites that are designed and revolve around your target market, places where you can go and connect with other like-minded individuals – but I don’t personally spend time in there. I would much rather prefer posting it, and having people find my information through searching the web for it.

There are so many methods to MLM prospecting, it will literally make your head spin. Focus on one, and run with it.

I agree with you that there is no single description for the perfect prospect. He may come in any age, gender and occupation, but what we are out for is one with the right attitude.

“The last few people you enrolled are a representation of who you are…”

Interesting words I learned a while ago. If you want to attract business builders – you must have the personality of them in order to attract them to you.

Keep that in mind. I had an ‘aha’ moment when I learned that…

Social media sites for MLM? I am not sure, I feel awkward, speaking about business and such with friends and family. Customers for me, must be different kind of folk. Probalby from mars or jupiter yet friendly.

      • Brock Says:

        hahah, funny Tom.

Customers are always different than business builders. Learn to identify the difference between each one – and where you can find them.

Sometimes talking with friends and family about business is awkward – if it is – just avoid it. Friends are always more important than business. Never twist their arm just to make them join you.

nah, I don’t think so, most of my customers are my classmates in college. I am still college going kid (as they say) yet I am getting sales, coz I know my customers on personal level and always have products for them as per needs and capabilities

What part are you disagreeing with, specifically?

It sounds like you have found people to work with or customers. That’s a start. They will make you money – but only a limited amount.

The MLM prospects you are looking for are business builders – as they will help grow your team further than you can, personally.

Yeah, basics are important and sometimes we need someone to remind them to us.. thank brock .. have a blessed day

      • Brock Says:

        Many thanks Manasa!

Basics are essential to succeed in any business, including MLM prospecting. Everything branches off of the basics – so if they aren’t right – then nothing else is correct.

        Thanks for stopping by!

      Agreed.
Customers, prospects, business-builders, or clients are everywhere – we must just simply get out there and find where they are walking around.

Online and offline are both great places to start ;)
